Opening business conversations

Here I talk about how to present your company and open business conversations with dozens of potential customers.

Every business deal between companies begins with a meeting between potential buyers and potential suppliers.

Social networking, corporate events and business rounds are very prolific in opening up various business fronts.

If you need to get off the ground for a revival in your professional career or even if you want to radically broaden your horizons when it comes to winning new clients, consider being at as many events and groups as possible where your audiences are.

A good daily routine, is for you to participate in forums and comment on articles and posts in your niche.

Main places to be and share your ideas:

  • Linkedin Groups
  • Youtube Videos
  • Posts on Facebook and Instagram

But beware of two points.

You should participate in groups where your potential customers are and you should contribute comments that add value to them.

You will then gain permission to make sales pitches to those who open dialogue with you.

The most important thing is to be selective and choose the right people and groups to invest in for engagement.

Therefore, it is essential to research well.

Once you have defined your business niches, prepare two materials in advance:

Content that is really useful to your target audience, this could be a post, pdf or video.

Prepare your sales introduction (presentation script) based on your solutions. The more specific you are, the better.

Don't try to adapt to everyone but rather to those who you realise really fit.

Make a list of cases, examples and results that you have generated for the market and have them on the tip of your tongue when the time comes to talk about yourself and your company.

A good rule of thumb is to connect with at least 10 people in your niche per day and the best channel for that is Linkedin.

Ask for the connection with a nice, simple text (don't use the standard Linkedin one) and for people who accept, start a chat, but no rush to make a sales pitch.

After a few days send content and ask if a business conversation makes sense.

Use the same pattern on the other social networks: engage, add value and ask if the time is right for an advance.

The more you open fronts, the more business that will come into your sales funnel.

Success!
